The SG Arrival Card replaces the paper-based Disembarkation/Embarkation Card for Singapore, which has now been discontinued.

Do British nationals need an arrival card & a visa for Singapore?

All travellers from the United Kingdom, regardless of the purpose and duration of the visit, need a Singapore tourist card. The SGAC for British nationals is not a visa. It is an entry requirement for all foreign visitors, including those who do not need a visa.

As a British citizen, you can visit Singapore for up to 90 days visa-free, but you still need an Arrival Card.

If you do need a visa for Singapore, you need to submit a visa application online or at the nearest embassy or consulate.

Short stays in Singapore

What are the SGAC entry requirements for the UK?

You need to meet just a few SGAC entry requirements for UK citizens. You need:

  • Internet access
  • UK passport valid
  • Completed SGAC application form
  • Debit or credit card to pay the fees

British passport requirements to apply for a Singapore Arrival Card

Your UK passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you’ll arrive in Singapore.

You must use the same passport to apply for your SGAC and travel to Singapore. The details on your arrival card must match your passport.

Keep this in mind if you’re a dual national with more than one passport.

To enter Singapore from the UK, you must meet all the immigration and safety requirements. You must have:

British SGAC holders can present their tourist card in its electronic format on their phone or another mobile device, along with their passport, upon arrival in Singapore.

Please note that the Singapore arrival card does not guarantee entry into the country. The final decision is up to the Singaporean border control and immigration authorities.

SGAC online applications are in most cases processed within 2 days. However, you should apply as soon as possible to allow time for delays.
