SG Arrival Card for citizens of Vietnam

Vietnamese citizens are required to obtain a Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) before travelling to Singapore. This convenient electronic system simplifies the process of registering tourist arrivals and checking travel documents at the border.

Do Vietnamese nationals need a visa for Singapore?

Vietnamese travellers do not need a visa for Singapore if they intend to stay in the country for less than 30 days and the purpose of their travel is tourism or business.

However, all Vietnamese passport holders must obtain a Singapore Arrival Card, regardless of their visa eligibility. The SGAC is a mandatory document for all foreign visitors to Singapore.

It is important to bear in mind that an Arrival Card for Singapore is a travel authorisation and does not guarantee entry into the country. The permission to enter the country is given by the Singaporean border control and immigration authorities.

Vietnamese nationals who wish to work, study, or reside in Singapore must apply for a traditional visa for Singapore through the nearest embassy or consulate. In addition, they also need to obtain a SGAC before travelling.
